Vertical Garden

Vertical Garden Design

We love this vertical garden designed for a residential house in Lisbon Portugal. Lisbon has a great climate – it rarely drops below freezing – and this allows for many exotic species with tropical origin. The garden is located on a north facade, so there is practically no direct sunlight. Located not far from Serra de Sintra, a misty mountain right next to the Atlantic, full of historical gardens, the choice of plants was inspired by it's natural beauty, where a few plants also was gathered. There are many posts from Sintra on the blog, for example this. This Vertical Garden was designed by landscape architects GAP Arquitectos. The house was constructed by Frederico Valsassina Arquitectos.
