Liquid Loops by the Joshua Light Show 1969

Psychedelic light-shows were all around you during the late 1960s, where you crashed, partied and in your head. Using oil and dye in an emulsion that was set between large convex lenses upon overhead projectors lightshow artists such as the Joshua Light Show created bubbling liquid visuals that pulsed in rhythm to the music. The heated convex lenses were prone to explode which added to the LSD fueled psychedelic atmosphere.  Liquid light shows were sometimes mixed with slideshows and film loops to create an improvisational motion picture art form to give visual representation and to create a completely psych-out atmosphere for the audience.
