Flensted Mobiles Black Rhythm

Flensted Mobiles Black Rhythm

Black Rhythm is a modern art ceiling mobile made by Flensted Mobiles in Denmark, Europe. The Black Rhythm mobiles was designed in 1967, this rather large singular mobile is made of aluminium. Gravity seems to have no effect on this mobile. This Mobile was created so that the elements are in constant motion while the entire Mobile maintains a harmonic balance. Watching the slow motion of a mobile is a remedy against stress. Each Flensted mobile is carefully assembled, and balanced by skillful hands. They are packed so that they are ready to hang. Flensted Mobiles make a great present for your family, friends, children or yourself!

Mobiles are a traditional craft in Denmark, but the modern mobile - as a decoration for the home - was created in 1954 by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe who founded Flensted Mobiles. Their first design for Flensted Mobiles, the Stork mobile, was a great success, and now flies all over the world.

Christian Flensted became known as the "Uromager", a name impossible to translate into English, which means a "maker of things mischievous and always on the move".

Today, their son Ole and his wife Aase continue the tradition at Flensted Mobiles, with ideas for new and original mobiles issuing regularly from their "Department of Space Research".

Flensted Mobiles are created so that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance. Each Flensted mobile is carefully assembled, and balanced by skilful hands. Flensted Mobiles are packed so that they are ready to hang.
